I'd like to interrupt your Supernatural hellatus to bring you this very special, shiny, spam:

Eleven! Oh I love you, Eleven! I mean, Ten is still my Doctor, but truth be told, I think I'd rather be your companion. Ten was a little...how can I put this nicely...fucked in the head towards the end there. I mean, Katrina and I spent a month sobbing our eyes out when the ever-so-shiny BBC announced that David Tennant was leaving the role, and then what they did to Donna. DONNA. I'm still not over that, BBC. Seriously. Who do you think you are? The CW? Don't sink to their level. You're better than that. You're...you're...British.

Anyway, lookit Eleven. Lookit Amy and Rory.

Rose who?

(I'm sorry, Rose. I take that back. I love you. I wish I had Billie Piper's eyebrows.)

Is it can be Easter now?

Oh look, more spam. It's my favorite-est Doctor Who fanvid ever. I just want to hug it and love it and snuggle it forever. It makes me feel kinda guilty for not having a huge interest in watching the original stuff. Katrina mocks me all the time. She has mad mad mad love for Two, Three, and Four, in fact, she has a poster on her and my bro's fridge with Jon Pertwee slapping someone that says "You shut your whore mouth when the doctor is talking." Yeah. No. Really.

"You'll watch the stupid fucking American TV movie, which is like, fucking blasphemy, but cardboard Daleks are too much for you?"

"HEY NOW. PAUL MCGANN WAS IN THE STUPID FUCKING AMERICAN MOVIE AND HE'S SHINY. AND YOU SAID EIGHT IS YOUR FAVORITE "NEW" DOCTOR."

"...shut your whore mouth."

PS: Katrina turns 21 tomorrow. I plan on getting her drunk and picking fights over who the best Doctor is. XD

I'm sorry. I'll go sit down now.

...hi!

I don't have much to say about Doctor Who. That should probably mean that I don't say anything at all, but I can't do that. I like that the show is English. Is that sufficient input? <3

Hi! How was the theater?

I had to buy wrapping paper for the bridal shower and Katrina's birthday present...and PacSun was having a really sweet sale and I bought SHOES with little blue bows on them because they were on sale...but I felt really bad about it because I sat and did my whole budget for the next two weeks while at work today and then got distracted by the pretty shiny things. :/

I like that the show is English too! I generally don't have a problem when we remake English TV shows because we're too lazy to google any slang we might not understand (although I was marginally peeved when I learned that Harry Potter books that you buy over here are "Americanized" WTF) a la Being Human, Queer as Folk, etc etc, but I really think I would draw the line if we tried to do a Doctor Who remake. I mean...I guess we did kinda try with the TV movie, which was, in fact, terrible (aside from Paul McGann being pretty and naked) but, uh, yeah.

Hey, you like Torchwood, right? That's pretty sufficient too! Torchwood is like, Doctor Who's slutty little sister who runs around tripping on acid and being distracted by glow sticks. Heee. Jack Harkness...why so pretty? <3

Theatre was awesome. It was hilarious but fantastic at the same time. A whole bunch of guys wearing tutus and dancing en pointe? Strangely adorable.

Shoes... must resist... I am quite good at not buying full-price stuff, but when it's on sale I'm such a sucker. I'll buy two, just 'cause it's on sale. I did the same with shoes too, I bought a pair in size 5 and 6 because they were cute (and functional enough for work). The 5's were comfortable, 6's a tiny bit to big. Silly me.

OH! Get this. I saw the pantomime at the theatre two Christmases ago, and John Barrowman (Jack Harkness) was totally in it. He's adorable in real life, and sings so nicely too. That was a good show, I think it was... erm... Robin Hood! Yes. That was it.

<3

By the way, what did they change in Harry Potter? Heh.

It's always the sale stuff that gets me. ALWAYS.

John Barrowman makes me so stupidly happy when he sings. When I realized he was the "Springtime for Hitler" Nazi in The Producers I was like ^_______^

http://www.hp-lexicon.org/about/books/ps/differences-ps.html

Those are the differences for the first book and the website has sections for each subsequent book. They seemed like such pointless changes to me. I mean, I know that an English muffin and a crumpet is the same thing, and even if you don't know that...in the context that it appears, certainly you should be able to figure out that a crumpet is FOOD. Or, like, "Happy Christmas" vs. "Merry Christmas." Uh. WE SAY HAPPY CHRISTMAS TOO. And my personal favorite, "Mum" got changed to "Mom."

Ok. It's an English book. It takes place in England. The characters are English. Therefore, when I hear them talking in my head, it comes out as "MUM" regardless because I give them all accents.

But then they leave stuff like Tonks saying "Wotcher" as a greeting all the time. I had to google that one. And you know what? I was okay with googling it! I learned something!

*facepalm*

Date: April 1st, 2011 01:39 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] si-star-x.livejournal.com
It's crazy-funny, because *I* don't say 'Mum', I say 'Mom'! I know I've probably adopted the American version for one reason for another, but it drives me crazy how every card has 'Mum' on it. I usually go for 'Mother'. At least Mother's Day (this Sunday for us) isn't "Mum's day". I'd facepalm for real.

It's stupid. I'd be angry if they English-ed Supernatural. Oh no -- motels must be 'travel lodges' - LOL.

John Barrowman is cheesy sometimes, like when he's on our reality shows looking for new theatre stars he makes silly comments. He did "An Audience with John Barrowman" where he just sang for a straight hour, and that was a little too much for me to handle. But he's a good guy and his voice is nice, just gotta be in the mood for it.

I don't even get 'wotcher', in fact I read your comment thinking she was on about 'watcher' as in, Buffy, but then... yeah. FAIL. Wotcher. Who says that? Where in England is she from? Heh. Amusing.

I'm having one of my occassional "uber-late nights". It's 2:38am and although I'm lying in bed with the light off, I'm not tired. I think it's 'cause when I write fic I get all... awake.

I'm sure you'll disagree if I say I'm just as coherent right now as I am at 10am in the morning. XD

Date: April 1st, 2011 02:08 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] radiumgirl.livejournal.com
I think you're quite coherent considering your time!

I have no idea when Mother's Day is for us. It could be Sunday for all I know. When I was in Hallmark today, they did seem to be pushing alot of Mother's day merch. *shrug* I prefer to avoid all contact with my monster mother.

It tends to not work out that way though.

I don't recall if Rowling ever gave Tonks a hometown. I did a quick google, but couldn't find anything about it. But yeah, apparently "Wotcher" is a Cockney greeting? IDK. I tend to fail pretty hard at understanding what exactly that means. Is it...like...a regional dialect?

...I didn't actually realize that there were different kinds of English accents until one of the characters on Doctor Who pointed out that Nine has a "Northern accent" and even then, I had to listen really hard to pick out what was different. *fail*

Heeee. I worked at the library when I was in college and for a whole year I worked with this exchange student from the UK and he was pretty and I would always sigh like a lustful teenager whenever he talked to me. I could never tell if he was calling me "mum" or "ma'am" though. And I didn't want to be an ass and ask so I was just like, "Please keep talking to me forever hnnnngh." >.<

I saw your new fic! I'mma read it once I finish cleaning up this pig sty I call my apartment. <3

Date: April 1st, 2011 02:15 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] si-star-x.livejournal.com
I keep getting tempted to say 'wotcher' out loud, but... no. I suppose it's a dialect of sorts, almost like people would say 'howdy'? I'm not entirely sure. I'm not down with dialects, seeing as my city is fairly straight-forward with language and greetings and it's not usually confusing save for our insanely fast tongues.

Yeah, there are some crazy English accents. Birmingham accents are actually horrible, but I don't consider myself to have a 'true' regional accent. You can hear it, but it's not how it's portrayed.

I don't get to hear nearly enough American accents. We have a couple of American customers at work but they're old. I'm happy just listening to Sam, Dean, Cas... all the pretty boys with cute American accents.

I think I'd better sleep, although I could easily stay and chat. I'll turn off my "classic rock" ipod mix soon, 'cause I know I'm not falling asleep to the strange face of love and renegade. I was almost falling asleep at the ballet due to the music, should've recorded it!

In the morning I'm going to have forgotten about writing that fic. It's birthday!fic though, which shows that I'm nice? Not really, I kinda failed on the request, hehe.

Mmmm dem boys. I saw a video once of Jensen and Jared "revealing" their super-secret Texan accents. I squeed. Actually, I think Jensen's bleeds out on screen alot, but Jared does a really good job of hiding his...unless it's just not as thick as Jensen's. IDK. It was cute though. If I stumble across it again, I'll throw it your way.

Sleep is good. I'm going to sleep soon. I have no idea how long of a day I'm in for at work tomorrow because we're "moving" to the new office after lunch. Hopefully, the commute time to the new office will be "counted" as work-time for tomorrow because if I got my way, I'd just stay in the old office for the freaking THREE HOURS left of my shift. UGH. I'll probably be out of contact after 12, so if I don't get to chat as much, I hope you have a really great day.

Birthday!fic! Awww, you are a nice person! <3

You just inspired me to search up their Texan accents and I found an adorable video from a con, and they talk about it slipping out when they're tired. Jensen says "shoot, I don't know", and it's the CUTEST THING EVER. Those guys win in so many way.

I hope the move goes well, and try not to leave anything behind. How come they're moving part-way through the day and not just spending a whole day? Very strange!

It's eleven and I'm only just waking up, so most of my day is gone already, but thank you! I'll and have a good one. My parents are actually out this evening from about 4pm 'til 11pm - they're doing dinner and a show in town. My sister and I therefore decided that as it is Friday night, we're totally with our rights to drink alcohol and eat pizza and sit in front of the TV all night with my Paul coming over too.

This house is cool; we have karaoke and a pool table and lots of fun stuff, so yeah, should be entertaining. No house party though, that's just insane. On New Years Eve Paul got absolutely wasted here, and when we shared a bath in the morning (aww) he was really ill and kept telling me he wanted to be sick - so I was using it as a romantic moment and he then proceeded to upchuck in the toilet - better not happen again! 'Sides, I do actually have work tomorrow (can't believe it's Friday already...) so I'll be reasonable with the drinking. I'll try to be.

I haven't drank since that day I was uber-sick! So it's okay. It's okay, right? *CLINGS*

I wish these guys would watch Supernatural. Drunk Sam 'n' Dean would be awesome, but no. They suck.

<3 HAVE A GOOD DAY!

The birthday fic was appreciated too, hehe.

THAT'S IT! THAT'S THE VIDEO! Aren't they the most precious lil Texans ever? Those two seriously helped me get over my anti-Texas stance. I might even consider visiting one day.

The actual MOVE was supposed to be done by a moving company at the end of the day and we were to report to the new office on Monday. However, Boss wants us to go set our desks up TODAY so that we don't waste "valuable work time" on Monday. So, basically, I'm driving an hour out of my way to unpack a box. *sulks*

It sounds like your Friday is shaping up to be a good one! Booze, TV, sis, and the boy...good times. I'm sorry they won't watch Supernatural though. Drunk boys is a good time...except, for me at least, there are certain episodes that I'm not allowed to watch when inebriated because they SLAY ME DEAD. "When the Levee Breaks," "Criss Angel is a Douchebag," and pretty much everything from "Dark Side of the Moon" through the end of s5 is off-limits.

I'm really scared for what the rest of s6 is going to look like. It's probably good that I stopped chugging wine during new episodes. I was a wreck during "Swan Song."

You have a pool table! I'm really bad at pool, but I still like playing it. Also, house parties are only fun when you aren't the one throwing them. I hate cleaning up and I always feel obligated to play with EVERYONE when I'm hosting a party, which is tiring.

*clings*

Have fun! You'll be okay! You've had plenty of recovery time! <3

Shoot, I don't know.

THAT'S THE CUTEST THING EVER.

The fangirls make me cringe though - don't ask Jensen to do Blue Steel, that's like, so over-done. Just... I don't know. Anything but that.

I wanna do Texas. Bowling for Soup are from Texas, yee-haw. They're adorable, and oh gosh, what shall I say on Monday when I meet them?! I have no idea. Some people bake them cakes and make them stuff, but we're just gonna shuffle in like... hey. I was so tempted the other day to get a bowling for soup tattoo. I could tell Jaret I wanna get a tattoo and ask him to like, sign my shoulder. That'd be pretty cool, but I'm not quite a crazy-chick.

You're going all the way over there to unpack a box? Heh. Wow. So useful. I'm surpised Mr Boss-Man didn't suggest heading over there during the weekend. *facepalm*

I was watching When The Levee Breaks the other day, and d'awww... so sad! I really need to re-watch the entire SPN collection, because I watched it all *once* but now after writing so much and knowing heaps about them, it's different when you watch an episode. Just simple things like their expressions and body-language, and... yeah. So much to miss.

I'm looking forward to the new episodes but at the same time it's a little scary. I'm glad in ways that they hiatus-ed us, because otherwise it'd all be coming to an end pretty darn soon.

I improve at pool when I've been drinking, but I still suck. My Dad is awesome and kicks my ass every single time - the only time I've ever won was when he potted the white with the 8-ball. *Grin* I'm going to challenge Paul later, and I'll let you know if he kicks my ass too. We'll probably just end up attacking each other with the pool cues, 'cause yeah, we're real civilised.

My little sister Hayley will be around too though, so she'll keep us in check I'm sure. She's 14. *Nod* We need control to be imposed.

I just have to not get too wrecked, 'cause y'know... weekend starts tomorrow, which means... work! Yay!

Oh dear Lord, WORK.

I haven't seen my work colleagues since last Sunday, and I have vague flashbacks of kissing somebody on the cheek saying "bye Kirsty" and it wasn't Kirsty. Crap. *Hides*

I love that the 14-year-old is going to be the one keeping order. I love it.

Con vids make me so uncomfortable sometimes. I get second-hand-embaressment like whoa over random blue steel requests, or, even worse, when people are like, "Oh I heard your dog had to go to the vet! How is he?" Idk. It just makes me uncomfortable when people know so much about their personal lives. I always feel really bad when people talk smack on Danneel and Geneveieve, too.

I give the boys credit for going to cons at all. Some of the fangirls are really horrifying.

Texas has grown on me. I blame alot of the hate on President Shrub and his merry band of rednecks. I've actually met some cool people from Texas though, and aside from the Js, Matt Bomer is from Texas, and Max Bemis from Say Anything (my absolute favorite band ever ever ever) actually CHOOSES to live there, even though he's from California, which blew my mind because California > Texas...or something.

IDK.

Until I was fifteen, I thought everything west of Philadelphia was bumfuck. So. I know I have biases. I'm working on them.

Hiatus is always the hardest for me that first week. Then it all mellows out and while I'm excited for April 15th, I'm not like, clawing my face off or anything.

I'm REALLY antsy for the CW to announce whether or not we got renewed though. Like, NOW please. NOW.

Hehe, good luck with pool later! I always end up covered in the chalk when I play, or being an asshole and laying on the table...ok, so I'm usually shitfaced when I play pool. Whatever. What I lack in skill I make up for in being a sideshow attraction.

Heh. That actually kinda sums up my life. XD

Hey :) Sorry I didn't reply earlier. We tried to get Hayley to drink vodka and coke but apparently she got a headache after one sup - wuss!

We're having a good night, Paul beat me at pool, but we were all introduced to a picture of Steph's boyfriend's 4" penis. Really. Really. Really. We did ask, but Jesus.

Steph is so drunk and me and Paul are still standing at the moment, we're watching a show on TV where they just play 50 of the funniest YouTube videos. It's quite funny. :-)

I hope your desk-move went well.

I don't think I'd ever go to a con, I like them fictional, Y'know? They are such adorable guys though. I love them so much.

I got tagged to do the [livejournal.com profile] silverbullets Dean challenge earlier, and seeing as my night involved drinking and tomorrow is work-day, I had to scrape it together in an hour! I was outside and actually stressing out... Heh ;) <3

Hope you're good.

4'' penis. Oh my.

I played pool last night too! Katrina had never played before and we felt it was a requirement. Don The Bouncer showed her how to shoot. It was great.

I don't know if I would want to go to a con either. I kinda feel bad about the entire idea of meet and greet. You aren't really meeting them, you know? It's not an organic experience at all. I think I would feel less awkward running into Jared on the street or something. (Honestly, I don't know if I would have the guts to walk up to Jensen on the street, just because he's so much more reserved than Jared. Jared is all SPARKLY SUNSHINE WHEEEE! And...Idk. Sometimes I get the impression that Jensen would rather be doing something else, doesn't know what to say to people/interact with fans. And I totally don't mean that as a dis. I get it. I also heard that he's actually kinda shy, which would also explain his AWKWARD. It just kinda...makes me feel apprehensive about talking to him because if I got the impression that he didn't want to converse with me, I would feel like a total ass. /rant)

I hope work went well today and you (and Steph and Paul) weren't ill this morning! <3

Oh, I was awesome this morning. I skipped off to work leaving the pair of them to cry in their state of hunoverness. Apparently they stayed awake until *SIX IN THE MORNING*, whereas I was comfortable and asleep by three. It was okay though, we don't do it often, and although they don't listen to me and just do whatever the hell they want, I s'pose it was fun.

Steph and I are just about to dye our hair. She's redoing her 'Red Passion' and I'm going for 'Midnight Red'. I don't even know why I'm doing mine, it's just kind of tradition to do our hair together, and if it sucks I'll change it. It's quite dark this one, so tomorrow I might be a goth. Y'never know.

The idea of a con doesn't really sit well with me either. I was actually thinking today (whilst in the presence of huge hulk-tall guy at work who was also super-gorgeous) that I'd just DIE in any situation where J2 were involved. They're too good-looking for me. Seriously. I get what you mean with Jared and Jensen though, Jensen does seem reserved and you wouldn't want to force him into a conversation. I bet they get some seriously creepy-ass questions from fans and butt squeezes and general nastiness. I know we're all awesome around here, but fangirls are notoriously awful.

Do you ever read J2 fic? LOL. It's quite cute sometimes, but I do get a bit freaked out by the fact they are real people.

What have you been doing today? Tonight was the last of my three-night sleepover at home, we had an indian take-away and my Dad and I put away a bottle of sparkling wine. I will stop. One day.

*Hugs*

Midnight red sounds pretty!

I can't wrap my head around J2 fic. I can't get past the fact that they are real people. Lol. It just...bugs me.I've tried reading a few stories because the summaries sounded awesome...and they were well-written and everything, but I just couldn't get through them. I felt creepy. Heh.

I cleaned out my car earlier today. I had to get new wiper blades and I bought the primer and sandpaper to fix the paint damage, but AutoZone didn't have the right color paint. They said I'll probably have to order it online or something. UGH.

Ummm. I made pork chops and mashed potatoes for dinner and they were awesome. I mixed breadcrumbs with Bisquick and baked them OMG. I did it with chicken once and it FAILED, so I was really excited when it worked well with pork chops.

I'm a little peeved at Owen because this weekend is his fraternity's spring formal. We had plans to go, but ended up cancelling them when he got the job in Michigan because he didn't think he'd be able to go...and then he randomly decided to go today because his one friend offered to pay for his hotel room. In his defense, it was a last-minute decision, and he even called me and said his frat brothers were asking about me and wanted me to drive out...but I just can't. It's a three-hour drive and I don't have the gas money. If the decision to go had been made earlier, I probably would have budgeted for it. So. I'm jealous. Lol. He's getting drunk in a swanky hotel in Cleveland right now and I'm watching the Pens game with my brother.

*sigh*

And we're losing.

*hugs*

Aww. *Hugs* I hope you had a good evening regardless, did they lose in the end?

My hair is now Midnight Red pretty much black. It's okay though, 'cause I've been black and I've been red, so the two together can't be too bad, right?! It's nice and soft which is awesome.

That's the thing that scares me about getting a car - the whole 'having to learn car-stuff'. I could never touch up paint or change the wipers. I can't remember anything about the engine that I had to learn for my driving test. Maybe I'll get my butt into gear (hehe) when I'm rich enough to afford one.

I had to look up Biquick, heh. What is it? Google wasn't very useful. I figured out that it was Betty Crocker, but that's about it. I'm not exactly a culinary wizzkid!

I have read some J2 AU fic that has been great, but I'm not really big on it.

Sam 'n' Dean all the way.

I hope you have a good Sunday.

They won! They kicked ass in the third period and came ahead by two goals. Heee. *smishes* My boys have worked so hard this season. Our two "star players" have been out with injuries since December, and our goalie spent most of January being brilliantly bad at his job.

And then, February came, and everyone stepped up, and now we're securely in a playoff spot, and our goalie is actually in the running for league MVP, which is awesome because he is my BB. GOALIE PADS ARE SEXY, OK.

Heee.

I know most of what I know about cars from years of driving really crappy cars that tended to need repairs on-the-go. It's kinda funny. Owen can't even point out where his radiator is. I used to have a car, when I was in high school, that had a hole in the radiator, and every few miles, I had to stop and pull over to add water so the engine didn't overheat. Heh. 1991 Chevy Cavalier. My first car. I despised that car.

Bisquick is pretty amazing. It's just this kinda multi-purpose baking mix. It's mostly used to make pancakes, but you can make breading or biscuits from it too.

I also hope you have a good Sunday! My cousins guilted me into going to church with them, so that'll be my morning adventure. They're pentecostal. Pentecostals are scary. "Faith," its like "Faith" except with more speaking in tongues and twitching in the aisle and crying and getting way too touchy for my tastes, and that's saying alot because I grew up in a Baptist church, which is like, Pentecostal for Wussies.

UGH. WHY DO I LET THEM TALK ME INTO SHIT LIKE THIS?

Then there's the wedding shower later. I'm using it as an excuse to run away from the Sunday morning cultists before the kool-ade starts getting passed around.

Whoooo! I'm glad that they won for you. I've never been passionate about sport. My sister Hayley plays all-girls football and I know she is really good, but I've never been interested. I'll watch football during the World Cup and other major events, but I've just never been a huge fan. I'd rather watch WWE Wrestling, and that is certainly an embarrassing admission.

Crappy cars have character, so it's okay. It just must have sucked that your version of 'classic' just meant OLD. *Grin*

I hope Church wasn't too horrendous. I went at Christmas a couple of years back and it really creeped me out seeing as I don't follow religion and it was Church of England or something. I really don't know enough about religion which isn't good considing we have a community of Asian muslim/sikh's in our city and I have always worked with them on my work placements.

I hope the Wedding Shower goes awesome too! You'll have to let me know what kind of things you get up to. :-)

I'm glad they won too! The coaches even said Sidney Crosby, our (stupidly sexy) captain, might be back in time for playoffs. Mmm.

I could never get into wrestling. I tried, but giant hulking men just never did it for me. Even Jared circa s4-5 was pushing it. I was like, "bb, stop taking steroids and go eat a salad." My brother was really into it for awhile though.

Church was...well, there will be an entry on it at some point tonight. It was awful for reasons that were unexpected, and the moral of the story is that I'm converting to Catholicism to spite everyone. UGH.

The wedding shower was great! I didn't know anyone (there was seriously no one else from Adventureland there and I was like D:) but then I met up with one of the bride's friends from college and SHE didn't know anyone either, so we sat at our own table and had a nice time. The food was phenomenal, and I won one of the gift baskets that the bride was giving away! Eee!

Hi! I'm awake now. Well, kind of.

It's Bowling for Soup day today! We've gotta catch the train to Wolverhampton, which is like, the next city over. It's only fifteen minutes or so on the train and it won't be to expensive to get there.

We usually gig in Birmingham as our city has an awesome venue that all of the bands go to, but for some reason BFS just didn't get in there this time. I assume it's because it was already fully booked in regards to their schedule - I hope so anyway, 'cause although I've never been to the Wolverhampton Civic where the gig is, I can't imagine it kicks as much ass as our O2 Academy. I know all of the security guys there, so... *sulk* Heh. It'll be an experience though, epecially considering we get to meet the guys.

I'm saving my camera for important pictures ONLY, as last time I went to the same acoustic tour, I basically recorded a whole bunch of songs and not only did I never watch them back, I deleted my whole photo library on my imac so everything is gone. I want to enjoy myself tonight. I'm super-excited but scared at the same time! We get to *meet* them, and I don't even have anything to say. It's just gonna be a "hey! I'm looking forward to the show..." thing, I imagine. Should be awesome though, right? Right.

I'm glad the bridal shower went well, I'm sure I'll catch up on the other shenanigans soon! What did you win? I love winning stuff. The other day I felt lucky for some reason so I bought £10 of scratchcards and then won £20. Awesome.

I hope your Monday goes well. I'm still waking up at the moment and planning to have a shower. I'd imagine my sister and I will want to go to Wolverhampton around noon-ish and although we can't get in 'til 5pm we'll look around and probably queue early. We're a sucker for that.

I'm excited for Bowling for Soup! I hope it's a good time. I'm sure it will be. Don't feel bad about not having anything to say: having nothing to say is better than saying something creepy. Yes. Yes, it is.

And a train ride! I love trains. No, really. I used to Amtrak to New Jersey all the time

I won a basket full of Bath and Body Works stuff: lotion, candles, soap...I looove Bath and Body Works, especially the spa stuff, which I never get to buy for myself because it's expensive. *flails*

I keep sitting here eating my cereal and reminding myself to go to the new office today. I have no idea what desk situation will ultimately shape up to be, so, if I'm not too chatty today, don't worry, it just means there's a bazillion people looking over my shoulder. :(

*hugs*

Have fun today!

Well... if it's a 'first come, first served' deal... RUN. GET THE BEST DESK! I'm sure it'll be allocated, but meh. It's a fun idea.

I should try and spend the day with my sister and not LJ via my iPhone, but you know how well that works out. If you manage to comment, you'll get toilet-texts at least. <3

It's so cool that you won that, and it's going to be even more awesome using it all considering you didn't pay for it.

I like trains too, although I don't go on them enough. I went to London on the train once, and Brighton... 2+ hour train rides are fun, and I'd love to do it now as I'd just write the whole time.

The time Sam and Dean were forced to ride a train....

Did you see my fic for the [livejournal.com profile] silverbullets challenge? I wanted to make it Adventureland so freakin' bad, but instead it was just a ferris wheel in some crappy town. Hee. ♥

I should go shower now and then get ready to leave. I have my clothes (and shoes) laid out on the bed. Denim skirt, black tights, BFS tee and vans slip-ons that have seen better days. But they're awesomely comfortable.

I'm kind of *not* excited, but I figure when we're leaving and I'm dressed... \o/ I'm trying to cram BFS songs into my morning, as I have abandoned them recently. It's weird 'cause tomorrow I will have a BFS obsession again I'm sure of it.

Yeeeah, desks were assigned. The new building is SWANKY. Like, it's so nice that I don't mind wearing heels everyday. Still, it's a long drive and my cubicle position sucks. Definitely going to inhibit my ability to sneak peeks at LJ a bazillion times a day. :(

I did see your fic! I thought it was so sweet. Ferris wheels are so great. One of them actually played a fairly important part in one of my original stories. They're just amazing. I loved your Sam n' Dean story though. Aw. DEAN.

I hope the BFS show was awesome! I just finished dinner and an episode of Dexter. It's storming pretty bad here, so I'm going to go locate my gas lantern in case the lights go out. They've been flickering.

That's awesome that it's nice! Sucks that you're not in a great spot, but that's okay... Not like you should have been able to do it anyway!

Steph and I just got on a train that we knew we didn't have the right ticket for (ours was only for a certain train operator and the last train was a different one) and luckily we didn't get checked. We were going to play innocent if they asked and just say we didn't know! ;-)

BFS was absolutely amazing. <3 Jaret is a freakin' God. He was the sweetest man in the world at meet and great, he signed my name on a poster and was lovely. I said to him 'gosh, my hands are shaking' and he patted my shoulder and said we would get through this. Lol. I was at the front for the whole show, and at the end he had one guitar pick he'd been using the whole time and passed it to me, through a sea of hands! Be still my heart! He sang to me so much and just... Guh. Super-talented.

We met some funny 17-year-old guys called Connor and Tom in the line and chilled with them all afternoon while we waited. Connor wore a black leather trench coat and his parents are pagans. We had a christian preacher start talking to us. He asked the guys what they lived for; Connor said chicken and Tom said sex and wanking. I facepalmed, but it was amusing when the guy said 'willy is for weeing only'. Connor said he wants to complete a pagan ritual with a girl where you jump over a fire and then have sex in a field. I just kept thinking of A Very Supernatural Christmas. I wanted to ask if they watched it, but they spoke openly about mighty boosh and amine and I figured they would have mentioned it. I tried on his coat and it went down to my feet, awesome.

I bought a shirt too, it was £18 which is ridiculous, but this was an occasion worth getting a momento of.

I recorded Come Back To Texas too, so I shall try and upload that on YouTube just for you and I hope it caught my god-awful singing.

I'm glad you liked my fic, yay!

If you do get crappy LJ access at work it might just have to mean that one day we IM. In real-time.

True.

Guh! Your whole evening sounds like it was fabulous, even getting on the "wrong" train! And the guitar pick! Aww! That's like, plastic gold right there. I was at a We the Kings concert a few years ago, and two girls got so vicious over a drumstick that was tossed into the crowed that one of the bouncers broke them up and took the stick away and gave it back to Travis.

Do you like We the Kings at all? I like their first album better than their second, but they're awesome live, and so sweet and silly. I hope they play Warped Tour this year. They aren't on the roster yet, but I'm crossing my fingers. It's still early.

Also? Tom and Connor sound like fun. I cracked up at what they live for. XD

COME BACK TO TEXAS! EEE! *dolphin noises*

Real-time chat would be fun. Do you use AIM or G-chat? Or...*shifty eyes* Facebook chat?

It was great. I just looked at the picture they took of me and the guys, and... I look scarily happy. But happy! Happy is good. I am totally glomping Erik and Jared is just like "thumbs up" LOL! They are so silly.

I've never actually heard of We the Kings, perhaps I shall investigate them tomorrow. I love all sorts of music, so I'm sure I'll like them. BFS are playing the Download Tour this year, but I don't really do festivals like that. I mean, I would love to if I had a group of friends who went, but definitely wouldn't go on my own! Hah.

Those guys were really strange, but company was awesome.

There was guy there called Linus who is friends with Jaret and in another band with him, and he was singing a song on his own. See, Jared does these awesome podcasts and always plugs his friends bands. So when Linus asked "has anybody heard of Palmdale?" I was like "YES!!" and literally the only one to say yes. He was like "huh, cool" then went on to blahblah about the band. He wanted people to sing along to the chorus of one of their songs, and when he started it, I just starting doing the 'do do do-do' bit.

I felt like a prat as he grinned and laughed, said "close, but a do-do is what you do in the morning... it's ba ba ba-ba' LOL. My bad. At least I was close, and nobody else knew you at all! XD

It was fun.

I have G-Chat, Facebook chat is kind of... Well, I'm not on there enough. We'd be better off sticking to LJ!

I'll message you my Gmail. I only have two contacts on there at the moment and both are LJ friends.

This is off of their first album. They're pretty poppy, but I like them. They're from Florida, and, therefore, are shiny. Also? Travis has a glorious ginger mane and I want to pet it lovingly. And he gave me a scarf fetish. Whatever.

Warped Tour is fun, but you almost have to go with a group, otherwise, you're just kinda in this huge outdoor festival by yourself and...idk. I can't imagine going by myself. However, I'm notorious for getting drunk during the pre-game and falling asleep on the side of the hill, resulting in sunburn. Very very very bad sunburn. Usually on one side of my face. I am awesome.

Idk. The line-up for this year isn't too awesome right now, but I'll probably go regardless because the nearest Kalamazoo venue is in Chicago and Owen would rather shoot himself in the eye than go to Warped with me again. I dragged him there two years ago (which was actually a REALLY GOOD YEAR with the All-American Rejects, Flogging Molly, and Less than Jake) and he sulked the whole time.

I was like "YES!!" and literally the only one to say yes. He was like "huh, cool" then went on to blahblah about the band.

That's funny! Hehehe aww. I always feel so superior when I know about side projects that very few other people do. Like, LOOK. I AM MORE DEDICATED THAN YOU. *is shiny*

I'll add you to my G-chat and send you my name. It has been ever-so-gradually pulling me away from AIM.

"THE UPLOADER HAS NOT MADE THIS VIDEO AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY", WELL, SCREW YOU THEN!

I've never been an AIM girl. I have MSN that I barely ever sign into, and that has my 1000 or so contacts that I barely remember from my internet travels. I've been online since the age of 11, and I've been on many websites and picked up a lot of people who are mostly creepy. I get "hey!" all of the time, and I don't know if I'm supposed to know these people or not.

I'd love to go to one of the festivals, but as I say, there's nobody to go with and I know Paul would sulk too if I dragged him along,

I love the All-American Rejects <3 I saw them live a good few years back and they were really great, but recently they seemed to have dropped off my radar.

Wheeeee... G-chat! Exciting.

"THE UPLOADER HAS NOT MADE THIS VIDEO AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY", WELL, SCREW YOU THEN!

I HATE THAT SHIT.

If it makes you feel any better...the BBC uploads episodes of Doctor Who to their website whenever new ones air...BUT I CAN'T WATCH THEM.

I thought the internet was supposed to transcend political borders? WORLD. WIDE. WEB. UGH.

(Sorry. I get protective of the web.)

I used to be an AIM girl, mostly because it seemed like that's what everyone else was using. I've been online since 12 and picked up my share of creepers too. I've gotten better at weeding them out before they get all my contact information though...I think. Maybe. The scariest was this guy I met on LJ a few years ago and he apparently tracked me down through an internet search of Adventureland, because he had taken his kids there over the summer and really liked the place and wanted more info. He stumbled upon my LJ because at the time, I was a moron and referred to the park by it's real name, and I guess he thought I was amusing or something and I didn't mind it at first, but then, like, he wanted to come visit me at school and I was like, "ummmm that's okay, but no" and he started sending me presents which was creepy to begin with, but even creepier because I know I never gave him my address. So, I have a feeling that through some crazy-ass detective work that involved calling the park, getting my full-name, and cross-referencing me with the school, he someone got all of that information...which should have been impossible because of all those LAWS AND SHIT...buuuut yeah. I mean, it wasn't anything awful, it was like, a DVD of a movie that I mentioned watching in class and said I liked, but STILL.

Annnyway, I politely told him thank you but stop sending me stuff and he did. I actually never had any problems with him again, but it freaked me out so bad that I started being more careful about what I said, started using fake names for friends and certain locations. Like, I'll use IUP's real name because it's a HUUUUGE school...but Adventureland is actually a very small park, so, knowing the real name is like sticking a bullseye over my backyard.

/rant

THE INTERNET IS SCARY. Heh.

The All-American Rejects are so great. I loved their first album, hated their second (except for Dirty Little Secret)and came back to them when their third one came out. They make me go \o/

The internet is scary. Like, really scary. Especially that guy... woah. You can trace people so easily though, and everything you do online never really disappears. It's horrible when you think about it, so... I try not to think about it.

I'm really tired now so I'm going to head off to bed (well, I'm sleeping on the sofa tonight, \o/ for being at my parent's).

Speak to you tomorrow hopefully.

N...no Nine? N...no Ten?

*pulls out the handy dandy Sam Winchester puppy eyes of doom*

I don't look down on you! I...just feel that this needs to be rectified. Nine was all dark and broody and Ten was all sparkly-glittery-slightly-psychotic...okay, you know what? If Misha Collins had a TARDIS and a death wish, he would be the Tenth Doctor.

And and if you can stomach the craptastic 90s TV movie, it has Paul McGann, and he has flowing locks of immortality, and he spends maybe ten minutes wandering around in nothing but a bed sheet and I'm like *_* every time.

But uh, yeah, Katrina has made me sit through hours of the original series and I want to like it, I do, but it's just sooooo...sooooo...I don't know how it was on the air for 30+ consecutive seasons except that the rest of the BBC's programming must have been abysmal.

I respect it though. That's my defense.

Honestly I wasn't even that aware of Doctor Who until a couple years ago! British television in general was a bit of a mystery until I actually lived abroad. And somehow I ended up watching Australian soap operas and Angel reruns more than British TV, even though I was in Ireland. Well maybe that explains it, actually, as there is some left over animosity between the Irish and those Brits.

At this point, I love this doctor so much, it would be so bizarre for me to go back and watch others. Maybe someday.
